ESPN and BitPay Enter 3-Year Deal To Produce NCAA Bowl Game

Today we are happy to announce a 3-year partnership with ESPN Events to create an amazing bitcoin event for sports fans, families, and television audiences. The Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl, which people might nickname the "Bitcoin Bowl," will be part of the NCAA post-season college football bowl schedule through 2016.

We are thrilled at the opportunity to work with Brett Dulaney and the team at ESPN Events to create some great interactive games where fans can use bitcoin in fun and entertaining ways. Together with ESPN and the city of St. Petersburg we can create a Fan Zone, concerts, merchandise, commercials, tailgates, and of course the football game with full bitcoin branding on the field and television broadcast.

This will be a fantastic opportunity to raise bitcoin awareness to millions of new users. Our goal is to make it the largest and most exciting bitcoin event ever produced. The date of the first Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl will be Friday December 26 at 8:00 pm at Tropicana Field.
